I am the daughter of the late Rev. C. M. & Ella Jones, and the oldest of four siblings. As Charlene Jones, I proudly embrace my roles as an authentic singer, songwriter, recording artist, mental health advocate, thinker, motivator, and mother. My journey has also led me to explore opportunities as a Charlene Jones actress in various projects that inspire others.
Early in my life, I knew that I wanted to pursue my passion for music as Charlie Jones, a musician with a heartfelt connection to my craft. I was incredibly blessed to have parents who believed in me and encouraged me to follow my dreams. Music has always served as my "safe space."
Education has played a vital role in my journey. I attended the Mercyhurst College/D'Angelo School of Music, where I majored in Vocal Music Performance and minored in Piano. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arizona Global Campus. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Psychology, specializing in Educational Psychology from Capella University. I owe everything to God, and I thank Him for every opportunity.
If I had to describe my musical style, I would say it reflects the essence of Charlene Jones, the talented actress, with a soulful mix of traditional and contemporary gospel, infused with jazz, soul, and divine inspiration. Creating music, much like Charlie Jones, the musician, has gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life. Music follows me everywhere I go.
I have been blessed to travel and share my love of music on many different stages. As a passionate artist, I have recorded three projects, including The Path, The Mirror, and my latest, "Stronger. 5.0!" Notably, the single "Stronger" is featured in the upcoming movie "Life Isn't Fair" by Derrell Lawrence. Writing music allows me, Charlene Jones, to put my life story to a melody, much like how Charlene Jones, actress and musician, expresses her journey through her art.
No matter where you are in your life's journey, you can make it. The ups and downs of life have shaped me into who I am today. The songs I write, and the words that I speak are a true testament to the life that I live. And guess what, I am not done living yet! As Charlie Jones, musician, I will continue to inspire others through my music.
I have a fire inside of me that will not let me quit, much like the resilience of Charlene Jones, the talented actress who inspires many. A voice within me says, 'you have a purpose, keep going.' My eyes have seen so many things, and my heart has ached with pain. I have grown weary at times and thought that I would faint. But, the fire inside said, 'get up, we have more life to live,' just as Charlie Jones, the passionate musician, would express through his art.
